The Kathakali School for Performing Arts and Culture (Kerala, INDIA) is a unified effort by a group of devoted enthusiasts lead by Kalamandalam Gopalakrishnan. The Kathakali School members are highly qualified and famous artist.. We performed arts like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam and Kuchupudi in Gulf and Europe.

Kathakali School had a steady growth and has earned the fame for teaching and performing the classical arts of Kerala. We conduct regular classses of Classical Arts such as Kathakali, Mohiniyattom, Bharathanatyam, Kuchupudi, etc.
   











Courses Offered


Kathakali School is a dance academy for training classical dances. We provide excellent training for making professionals in this field.

Kathakali School conducts short term courses in (2 weeks, 1 month & 3 months) for
Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Bharathanatyam, Kuchupudi, Kalaripayattu and other Kerala Arts.

We provide accomodation and other facilities for foreign students. If required, we are ready to take classes in foreign countries.

Trainers  

Kalamandalam John
Born in Kerala (INDIA) in 1955, K.M. John got rigorous traning in Kathakali for nine years. In 1977 he was awarded the A.D. Bolland Gold Medal for the best Kathakali student. Since completing his course, he worked as a teacher for both Foreign and Indian students in Kerala Kalamandalam and now working with Kalatharangini and Kathakali School. He is a famous Kathakali artist.

     
Kalamandalam Gopalakrishnan

He has more than 800 stage performances in and out of India in his credit. He has choreographed for several Malayalam films. He has served as an eminent Kathakali teacher for several Indian and foreign students. His students spread all over the world. He has performed Kathakali in Italy, Germany, Russia, Poland etc.
   
Mary John
Born in Kerala in 1966. Mary John got rigorous training in Mohiniyattam for four years. She has also studied Kuchipudi. Mary John is the first female Kathakali chutty artist (make-up). She is teaching Mohiniyattom and Kuchipudi.
